2. Scope of This Policy

This Policy explains how information is collected and used in connection with the use of this app (Pixel Art Maker), including information handled by us and by third-party services we use, such as advertising services.

3. Information Collected

This app does not ask users to enter directly identifying personal information such as name, address, or phone number.
However, for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and quality improvement, the following information may be collected automatically.

3.1 Advertising (Google AdMob)

The following information may be collected and used in connection with ad delivery and related purposes.

The scope of information collected may vary depending on region, device settings, consent status, and ad delivery mode.

This app uses Google AdMob. For ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and related purposes, Google and advertising partners participating through AdMob may collect and use some of the information listed above. In applicable regions, you can review the advertising partners and how they handle information through the in-app consent screen or "Privacy settings".

3.2 Age Information

This app uses the Google Play Age Signals API and may obtain an age range provided by Google Play (for example, 13–15 or 18 and over) as well as the status of age verification. In addition, in some regions such as the EEA/UK, users may be asked to enter their age range when necessary.

3.3 In-App Purchases (Google Play)

Purchases to remove ads use Google Play's billing system. To verify purchases, purchase information is exchanged with Google Play. We do not collect payment information (such as card numbers).

4. Purposes of Use

The collected information may be used for the following purposes.

5. Third-Party Transfer / External Transmission

For the purposes described above, this app may send collected information to Google as a third-party service provider. It may also provide some advertising-related information to advertising partners participating through AdMob for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and related purposes.
Such information may be processed on the servers of the third-party service providers outside Japan (for example, in the United States).
The handling of information by third parties is governed by their respective privacy policies and related documentation.
For information on how Google handles data, please see the Google Privacy Policy.

6. About the Android Advertising ID

This app uses advertising services from Google AdMob and advertising partners participating through AdMob.
On Android, the Android advertising ID may be used in some cases for ad delivery and measurement.
Users may be able to reset or delete the Android advertising ID from Android settings.
For more information about the Android advertising ID, please also refer to Google's guidance.

7. Additional Information for the EEA/UK

7.1 Consent Management (UMP)

In some regions such as the EEA/UK, this app uses the User Messaging Platform (UMP) and similar tools to obtain and manage choices related to advertising consent.
In regions where consent information is used, the consent choices can be changed or withdrawn from "Privacy settings" shown under "Menu → Settings" in the app.

7.2 Additional Notes on Ad Delivery

In this app, whether advertising consent is required and how ads are delivered may vary depending on the user's age range, region, applicable law, and consent status.
In some regions such as the EEA/UK, users may be asked to provide age-range information when necessary for ad delivery and consent management under applicable law.
The age range you enter (a self-declared value) is used to determine whether child-directed settings should be applied or whether a User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent screen needs to be shown, and it is stored on the device.
The self-declared age range is stored until the user changes it, a valid age range is obtained from Google Play, or the app is deleted from the device.
For example, in some cases a consent screen may not be displayed, and ad delivery behavior may change depending on the user's choices and legal requirements.

8. Children's Privacy

This app is not designed specifically for children.
However, users of a wide range of ages, including children, may use the app.
Ad delivery may differ depending on the user's age range, region, applicable law, and consent status.
For information collected and used by third-party service providers in connection with advertising, please refer to their privacy policies and related documentation.

If a valid age range is obtained from Google Play, ad settings are determined according to that range, and if the user is a child or teen, the corresponding settings are applied.

9. Retention Period

Artwork data and settings stored within the app are kept until the user changes or deletes them, or deletes the app from the device.
The self-declared age range is stored until the user changes it, a valid age range is obtained from Google Play, or the app is deleted from the device.
Retention periods on the side of third-party service providers are governed by their settings and policies.

The age range obtained from Google Play is not stored.

If Android's standard backup feature (backup to a Google Account) is enabled, the device's OS may back up saved artwork data, palettes, app settings, and other data to the user's own Google Account. The settings include the self-declared age range and ad consent information. This is an Android feature, and we (the operator) do not receive or view the contents of the backup. Users can disable cloud backup themselves in the device settings. Information included in a backup may be returned to the device when it is restored, and the returned information is used by this app on the device. When changing devices, similar information may also be carried over through device-to-device data transfer.

10. Changes to This Policy

This Policy may be revised due to legal compliance requirements or feature changes.
Any revised version will be posted on this page.

11. Language

The Japanese version of this Policy is the controlling version.
If there is any difference or inconsistency between the Japanese version and versions in other languages, the Japanese version shall prevail.
The Japanese version is available here.
